Frequently asked questions
If you have a quick question about Amuzze, it's probably answered here. If not, email suporte@amuzze.com.br.
Who is Amuzze for?
Amuzze is a social network for anyone who plays music without pressure to go pro. It's not about skill level — it's about your relationship with music. Music students, teachers, garage bands, orchestra players, karaoke singers, beginner composers, learners enjoying the process: everyone fits here.
Do I need to be an experienced or professional musician to use it?
No. Amuzze is built specifically for people playing without that pressure. You can post a guitar cover, a rehearsal snippet, a phone-recorded clip. Nothing needs to be "produced" to belong here.
I'm a music teacher. Is Amuzze for me?
Absolutely. Teachers use Amuzze in many ways: sharing their own performances, showcasing student presentations (with permission), connecting with other musicians, or as an extra pedagogical tool for students. If you play and teach music, you're one of the audiences it fits best.
I'm an orchestra, chamber, or choir musician. Can I use it?
Yes. Symphony orchestra players, chamber musicians, church choirs, marching bands — all fit. Amuzze has no "single music category": classical repertoire (public domain) is entirely free to post, and live performance format translates well to the app.
I have a record label contract. Can I use it?
Depends on what you want to do. If it's to share behind-the-scenes, rehearsals, jam sessions, connect with other musicians — yes, no problem. If it's to distribute commercial recordings for paid streams, Amuzze doesn't replace a distributor (Distrokid, TuneCore, ONErpm, etc); keep using your distributor for that. Amuzze doesn't pay royalties or generate ISRC.
What's the difference between Amuzze and Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube Music?
Spotify and Apple Music are commercial distribution platforms that require a distributor, ISRC, minimum quality, and compete for attention with professional artists. YouTube Music follows similar logic. Amuzze is a social network — the focus is interaction (like, comment, collaborate, form bands), not paid streaming. Not a replacement, but a complement for people who want to share without commercial pressure.
Is Amuzze a music distributor? Does it pay royalties?
No. Amuzze is not a music distributor and does not pay royalties for plays. It also does not collect licenses with local collective rights agencies (responsibility for copyright of published content belongs to the user, per the Terms of Use). If you want to distribute your music commercially, use a specialized distributor.
Can I upload covers of well-known songs?
Yes, provided you have permission from the rights holder or the work is in the public domain (composer deceased for more than 70 years). Covers of protected commercial songs (pop, hits) without permission may be removed upon rights holder notification. Original compositions, classical public domain works, and original arrangements are always free.
Is Amuzze free? What changes with Amuzze Pro?
Yes, Amuzze is free and has everything that matters — posting, following, liking, commenting, forming a band, collaborating. Amuzze Pro (R$ 14.90/month) adds interface and highlight features: expanded stats, badges, mixed playlists with clips, high-quality upload (FLAC/WAV), and more. Pro doesn't unlock third-party musical content — only app features.
What's the minimum age to use Amuzze?
Ages 13 and up, with parental or guardian consent. Under 13 cannot create an account. Ages 18 and up have no additional restrictions. On app stores, some ads may require age 18+ due to platform technical limitations.
What countries is Amuzze available in?
Amuzze is globally available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android), with interface in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Initial focus on Brazil, Latin America, and Portuguese-speaking communities, but anyone in any country can download and use it.
How do I report abusive content or copyright violation?
Inside the app, tap the three dots on any post and choose "Report" — there are specific categories (spam, harassment, inappropriate content, copyright violation, etc). For formal copyright notification, email copyright@amuzze.com.br with work identification, rights holder, and evidence. We analyze and remove notified content within 24 hours.
